Polyisocyanurate (PIR) is a type of fire-resistant panel. In the event of fire, PIR simply chars. Properly installed PIR panels can significantly reduce serious risks of property damage and loss of business due to fire.
PIR is a rigid polyurethane foam made, as all rigid polyurethanes, by mixing two chemical streams (isocyanate and polyol) with appropriate catalysts and a blowing agent.
PIR Panel is available for insulated wall and ceiling panels (1,170 mm and 1,200 mm wide) and insulated external roofing panels (1,000 mm to 1.200 mm wide). Insulated wall and ceiling PIR panels are available in thicknesses of 50, 75, 100, 150, 200 mm and in three different skins: Diamond, Rib and Plain with sheet metal thickness of 0.5 mm and 0.6 mm.
Panels are supplied with an adhered plastic film to protect the metal skins during transport and construction.
PIR Panel is suitable for all insulated panel applications, including cold stores. The PIR Panels are now manufactured in Indonesia. Its fire risk reduction qualities have been proven to meet specifications in Australia, Europe and USA.
